Requirements Engineering and Management

Requirements Engineering

At Foxsolution, our aim is to integrate Requirements Engineering into the natural workflow of research and development, thereby creating real value in projects.

New to Requirements Engineering? Why not check out our articles on the subject?

Our Requirements Engineers work according to the latest standards. Requirements are strictly structured and formulated using the SOPHIST sentence template, ensuring a consistent tone across all created requirements. Additionally, every requirement generated by our Requirements Engineers is rigorously checked for testability and necessity, simplifying both test management and avoiding unnecessary data.

Through these practices, we aim to align our Requirements Engineering and the entire process around this service with the ISO 29148 standard. Certification through this standard is planned for the future!

We have already supported and advanced numerous projects in the automotive and pharmaceutical industries. In collaboration with our clients, we pay particular attention to maintaining regular communication with all involved parties (stakeholders, system architects, developers, etc.) and adapting to the culture and structure of the client.

Requirements Management

Our Requirements Management goes a step further. It involves setting up new structures or optimizing existing ones. Requirements Management creates the framework under which efficient and effective Requirements Engineering can emerge.

We start with an analysis of the project scope and product characteristics, allowing us to make fundamental decisions about the structure of the data and its focus. Subsequently, meaningful hierarchy levels are created, which promote the involvement of stakeholders, consideration of risks, and decision-making on design in a comprehensible manner. Existing system modeling, which illustrates all areas of the system and their interaction, is particularly helpful here.

Don't have a comprehensive model of your system for your project yet? Our system architects are here to help you!

Moving forward, the defined hierarchy levels are specified in more detail. We place particular emphasis on generating a guide early in the project that all involved employees can follow and refer to in case of discrepancies or uncertainties. This so-called RE plan (Requirements Engineering Plan) specifies the levels, how the requirements of each level should be formulated, how they relate to each other, and what to pay attention to in the process. Once the framework of your Requirements System is established, we ensure that iterations are set up with the right objectives and project areas to generate interim goals that ensure the project's implementation within the specified timeframe.

Finally, this progress is also supported by project management-oriented reports with real-time data in the Requirements tool of your choice. Communication and reporting are supported by our project management team, aiming to provide every member of the organization with the necessary information through visually appealing presentations.
